We are currently seeking candidates for these new positions. There are additional requirements for each job.

MACHINE DESIGNER / ENGINEER (Mechanical)

The ideal candidate has completed a university degree in mechanical engineering with 5 years of design experience.

Preference will be given to a candidate with or striving to obtain their Professional Engineering designation.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required for our team environment.
  • The Candidate must be knowledgeable of many manufacturing processes. This includes a familiarity of welding and machining.
  • The candidate will be challenged to determine alternate solutions to design problems.
  • 3D Cad design, finite element analysis, machine dynamics and stress calculations are expected.
  • A working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits is required.
  • Occasional offsite work may be required based on the project.
  • Custom engineered projects will be varied and could include oil and gas equipment, fiber optic equipment, automation, or packaging equipment.
  • Remuneration will be based on education and relevant experience.
Machinist

Minimum 5 years experience, lathe experience a must. Ability to program in Mastercam, perform set-ups, work safely to tight tolerances, work well independently and as part of our team.

AutoCAD Electrical Designer/PLC Programmer

Position Overview:

Inventure Engineering, a leading company in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Electrical Designer/PLC Programmer. This full-time position requires a professional with at least 10 years of experience in the field, demonstrating solid proficiency in Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Omron PLC programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and program electrical systems using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Develop and implement PLC programs for various automation systems.
  • Work with VFDs, motion control systems, and robotics.
  • Ensure all designs and implementations comply with Electrical Engineering/Safety Standards and Codes.
  • Occasionally travel to the USA and internationally to support projects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in AutoCAD Electrical design and PLC programming.
  • Strong proficiency in Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Omron PLCs.
  • In-depth knowledge of VFDs, motion control, and robotics.
  • Thorough understanding of Electrical Engineering/Safety Standards and Codes.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (P.Eng preferred).
  • Willingness and ability to travel to USA as needed.
