BORING MILL OPERATOR

We are looking for an experienced Boring Mill Operator to join our team at Inventure Engineering & Machinery. This position involves setting up, operating, and maintaining precision boring mills and other machining equipment in a custom manufacturing environment.

Qualifications
  • English language proficiency
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of machining experience
  • Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Comfortable working in a noisy, dusty, and fast-paced shop environment
  • Must have own steel-toed safety boots
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate boring mills and related machining equipment
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Verify part dimensions using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers
  • Perform boring, drilling, milling, and turning operations as required
  • Input and adjust toolpath, feed, and speed settings for CNC operations
  • Maintain and clean machinery and work area regularly
  • Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance
  • Follow quality and safety procedures at all times

ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER


We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on the design and development of electrical systems for custom automation and machinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and develop electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical or similar software
  • Specify and select electrical components (e.g., sensors, drives, PLCs, HMI panels)
  • Prepare panel layouts, bills of materials, and wiring diagrams
  • Support panel assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting as needed
  • Work closely with mechanical designers, controls engineers, and project managers
  • Ensure designs meet safety and regulatory standards (e.g., CSA, UL)
  • Provide technical support during build, testing, and commissioning phases
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical design for machinery or automation
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software
  • Knowledge of electrical standards and codes (CSA, NEC, UL)
  • Familiarity with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
